Welcome to Second Nature Childcare Centre in Powell River. Second Nature consists of 2 fully licensed multi-aged rooms, with an Infant Toddler room. In addition to Second Nature Childcare Centre, we have a second fully licensed facility, Natures Way Childcare Centre. Natures Way has two multi-aged rooms, in addition to 2 Infant Toddler rooms. Our newest Centre Second Nature Building B is a fully licenced Infant Toddler Centre for 8.

Marj and Ken are the proud owners of Second Nature Childcare Centre and Natures Way Childcare Centre. Both Marj and Ken have grown up in large families of 8 and 9 members and raised 4 children of their own. They have also hosted over 40 exchange students and have been active members of the Powell River community over the years.
Marj offers an array of organizational and managerial skills to keep the centre as well she a qualified ECE assistant.
Ken is vital to the upkeep and maintenance of the centre. Always making sure the centre is up to code and routinely maintains all safety equipment.
Amanbir kaur, is a Licensed ECE and has finished her school from Quebec. She wants to be a role model to children, and is dedicated to offer guidance to our young people. She understands the power of education and is sure to complete her duties with patience , love and creativity.
Arelis is a Licensed ECE Assistant. She shows her love and dedication to this career choice with her bubbly personality and continues to engage the children through creative play and always has a happy attitude.
Kat is a Licensed ECE Assistant, starting at our Centre in 2022. Kat is committed to completing her schooling to become an ECE. Kat is dedicated to providing a variety of activities to our Infant Toddlers as well as opportunities for the children to learn, grow and flourish.
Lana is a fun-loving ECEA, at our centre. She ensures our facility is always properly cleaned and sanitized, providing the children a safe place to play and learn. Lana plans to further her career in Early Childhood Education.
Rachel is a Licensed ECE, and Manager of Natures Way. She has many years experience working with children as she ran her own facility years ago. Rachel is committed to providing a variety of creative art experiences, and activities to keep the children engaged. She is a kind and caring teacher.
Kya is a Licensed ECE Assistant, currently completing her Bachelors of Education. Kya has been with our Centre since 2022. Kya is a fun loving teacher, who prepares a variety snacks and lunches for the children. She is also responsible for ensuring Natures Way is clean and sanitized, so that all of the children have a safe and clean environment to learn and play in.
Meemee is a Fully licensed ECE, who relocated to Powell River in 2023 to join our team. Meemee brings a variety of experience to our Centre. She is the main teacher in the IT room, and provides them a variety of engaging activities.
Lily is a Fully Licensed ECE teacher. She moved to Powell River in 2023. Lily has worked with young children in the past in Korea. She is passionate about teaching and providing safe and fun.
Doaa is a fully licensed ECE, who moved to Powell River in 2023 and is the manager of Second Nature Building B. Doaa is a kind, loving teacher with many years of experience in IT . She also holds her Montessori Teaching Certificate. Doaa is an asset to our team.

Our outdoor play area is dedicated to a nature based learning. Built to encourage creative play and challenging the children both physically and mentally. This includes digging areas, play houses and riding areas.
Our centre is proud to provide healthy snacks and lunches focusing on fruit and vegetables and proteins. We are able to adjust to each child's needs such as allergies or special dietary needs.
